In line with Nature, a three way partnership between the Technical College of Catalonia and the Mamiraua Sustainable Growth Institute aimed toward monitoring the actions of those two endangered dolphin species. To realize this, a man-made neural community was fed knowledge to differentiate the sounds of dolphins within the Amazon River.

A microphone was put in within the Mamiraua reserve in northern Brazil to seize the sounds of the dolphins. The researchers transferred these sound recordings to a man-made neural community that may classify sounds in real-time, akin to the human mind, enabling it to distinguish dolphin sounds from background noises.
