North Korean Hacker Cell Lazarus Allegedly Behind $60M Alphapo Hack

The notorious North Korean hacker group Lazarus has been attributed to yet one more multi-million greenback hack–this time affecting Alphapo, a big fee processor related to playing websites and e-commerce platforms.

Based on crypto investigator ZachXBT, the exploit started on July 22, when a number of sizzling wallets related to Alphapo had been drained for over $23 million–by way of Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tron (TRX).

Lazarus and crypto

The Lazarus group is a well known North Korean hacker group that has stored crypto on its toes over the previous years with its exploits.
