The nominees for the eighth UK Freelands Award—bringing to the fore “a mid-career lady artist who might not but have acquired the acclaim or public recognition that her work deserves”, say the organisers—have been introduced.
The award is given by the Freelands Basis, a philanthropic organisation based by the media govt Elisabeth Murdoch.
