Matter Labs CEO dismisses Polygon Zero claims of zkSync plagiarism

Matter Labs CEO Alex Gluchowski described Polygon Zero’s allegation that zkSync copied their code with out correct attribution as “unfounded, deceptive, and very disappointing,” based on an Aug. 4 publish on X, previously Twitter.

On Aug. 3, Polygon Zero stated Matter Labs copied “performance-critical parts” of its Plonky2 zero-knowledge system code with out correct attribution.

The Polygon group said that the zkSync group made deceptive claims about its newest proving system Boojum being 10x quicker than Plonky2. It argued that this was inconceivable, contemplating Boojum copied the efficiency code of Plonky2.
