Belarus eyes ban on peer-to-peer crypto transactions in fight against cybercrime

Belarus desires to ban peer-to-peer crypto transactions and introduce laws that requires residents to make use of regulated crypto exchanges, based on a July 2 assertion from the nation’s Ministry of Inside Affairs (MVD) VKontakte web page.

In accordance with the Ministry, cybercrime is rampant within the nation, with scammers cashing out and changing stolen funds into cryptocurrencies.
